Why is spiritual blessing better than material blessings for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual blessings are eternal and transformative, while material blessings are temporary and ultimately insignificant in light of eternity.

As Matthew 6:19-20 warns against storing treasures on earth, the sermon emphasizes that while material blessings can be desirable, they pale in comparison to the spiritual blessings we possess in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 highlights that believers are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. These blessings include election, redemption, justification, and the promise of eternal security. Unlike the fleeting nature of material wealth, which can disappear or decline, spiritual blessings bring lasting peace, assurance, and identity in Christ. The true richness of a believer lies not in earthly possessions but in their relationship with God through Christ, which secures a glorious inheritance that far exceeds any worldly gain.
