Why is spiritual growth important for Christians?

Answered in 29 sources

Spiritual growth is vital for Christians as it leads to maturity in faith, unity in the body of Christ, and the ability to withstand false teachings (Ephesians 4:14-15).

Spiritual growth is crucial for Christians to ensure that they are anchored in their faith and not easily swayed by false teachings and worldly philosophies. Ephesians 4:14-15 warns against being tossed around by every wind of doctrine and emphasizes the need to grow up in Christ. Mature believers can discern truth from error, and their growth promotes unity within the church. This maturity allows believers to live out their faith effectively, share the gospel, and serve one another, thus fulfilling God’s design for the church.
