Why is spiritual growth important in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual growth is essential for Christians as it reflects our new nature and dependence on God's Word.

Spiritual growth is a critical aspect of the Christian life, as highlighted in 1 Peter 2:2, which urges believers to desire the sincere milk of the word, that we may grow thereby. Just like newborns naturally seek nourishment, believers must seek the spiritual sustenance found in God's Word. Growth leads to maturity, enabling Christians to overcome sin and to reflect Christ’s character in their lives. Without growth, our spiritual lives stagnate, preventing us from effectively serving God and each other.
