Why is spiritual healing considered more important than physical healing?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual healing through faith in Christ is more significant because it leads to eternal life and relationship with God.

While physical healing is a blessing that demonstrates God's compassion and power, it is ultimately temporary. Acts 9 illustrates this distinction—Aeneas is healed, but the greater miracle is the transformation that leads many to believe in Jesus Christ. This points to the eternal significance of spiritual healing, which is the regeneration of the heart by the Holy Spirit, resulting in everlasting life. The ultimate goal of Jesus’ miracles was to emphasize the spiritual realities of salvation, showing that true wholeness comes only through faith in Him. Thus, while physical healing is important, it serves a higher purpose of drawing people to spiritual life in Christ.
