Why is submitting to God important for Christians?

Submission to God means recognizing His sovereignty and authority in our lives, which is foundational to the Christian faith. James 4:7 commands, 'Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.' This submission isn't a sign of weakness; rather, it is through this act that believers can resist temptation and confront spiritual battles effectively.
