Why is suffering for Christ important?

Answered in 2 sources

Suffering for Christ is important as it reflects our identification with Him and serves to strengthen our faith and witness.

Suffering for Christ is an essential aspect of the Christian experience as it identifies believers with Jesus' own sufferings. As Paul taught in Acts 14:22, through much tribulation we will enter the kingdom of God. This suffering not only demonstrates our commitment to the truth of the gospel but also refines our faith and serves as a testimony to others. It draws us closer to Christ and causes us to rely more heavily on His strength rather than our own. As we endure hardship, we are reminded of Christ's ultimate sacrifice and can share in the joy of His resurrection.
