Why is the Bible important for knowing God?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible is crucial as it is the inspired Word of God that reveals His character and will to humanity.

The Bible serves as the primary means through which God reveals Himself to us. 2 Timothy 3:16 states that all Scripture is inspired by God, indicating its divine authority and reliability. Without Scripture, our understanding of God would be based solely on human opinion, which can lead to distorted views. The Bible provides the foundational truths about God's nature, His attributes, His acts of providence, and His gracious plan of salvation, thus allowing believers to know Him as He truly is—God Almighty, unchanging and sovereign.
