Why is the blood of Christ important for our fellowship?

Answered in 1 source

The blood of Christ is essential as it cleanses us from sin, making us acceptable for fellowship with God and one another.

The blood of Christ is integral to our fellowship because it removes the barrier of sin that separates us from God. In 1 John 1:7, it states that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin, allowing us to enter fellowship with the holy God. Sin inherently creates darkness, but through Christ's atoning work, we are washed and made new, enabling fellowship with God the Father and His Son. Furthermore, this cleansing also creates a bond between believers, as they are all washed by the same blood and called into a shared fellowship that reflects Christ’s love and grace.
