Why is the concept of being saved through Christ important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Being saved through Christ is fundamental as it assures believers of their eternal security and relationship with God.

For Christians, the assurance of salvation through Christ is paramount because it provides confidence in their standing before God. As stated in John 10:9, 'By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved,' which means that salvation is a promise rooted in trust in Christ alone. This promise also encompasses freedom from the penalty, power, and ultimately the presence of sin. Knowing that one cannot lose their salvation brings peace and encourages perseverance in faith. It is by grace through faith that believers experience this profound relationship with Christ, leading to a transformed life.
