Why is the concept of Christ's voluntary death important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's voluntary death assures believers of God's love and the security of their salvation.

The significance of Christ's voluntary death cannot be understated. It is through His purposeful sacrifice that believers witness the depth of God's love: "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:10). This act of love provides comfort and security to Christians, knowing they are protected from condemnation because Christ's blood covers their sins completely. As stated in the message, "Christ died for a man and him be lost? No way!" This reinforces the believer’s assurance that their salvation is secure in Christ’s completed work.
