Why is the concept of dominion important for Christians?

The concept of dominion is foundational in understanding humanity's role as stewards of God's creation. In Genesis 1:28, God blessed man, commanding him to 'be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it.' This dominion signifies the responsibility to manage and utilize creation for God's glory and our benefit. However, it is crucial to note that this responsibility requires redemption through Christ, as mankind's fall has hindered our ability to fulfill this command. Only Christ has succeeded in responsibly fulfilling this dominion, which believers are called to participate in through Him.
