Why is the concept of God's preservation important for Christians?

Answered in 3 sources

God's preservation is vital for Christians as it assures them of their eternal security and His faithful guidance.

The importance of God's preservation cannot be overstated in the life of a Christian. It provides assurance that our salvation is secure, rooted in the character of God rather than our performance. Since we are preserved by God, this frees us from the fear of falling away or losing our salvation. Instead, we can rely on the promise of Philippians 1:6, which assures us that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion. Furthermore, understanding that we are preserved encourages us to persevere in our faith and witness, as we recognize that our efforts are supported and sustained by divine grace.
