Looking for signs diverts believers from the true focus of trusting in Christ.

Believers are warned against seeking signs as a measure of divine action or to predict the fulfillment of God’s promises. Jesus emphasizes in Luke 17:23 that looking for physical indicators can lead to misunderstanding the nature of His Kingdom. Rather, we are to focus on Christ, who is our hope and assurance. The real assurance comes through understanding His grace and the Gospel rather than succumbing to the anxieties of predicting future events.
