Why is the Day of Judgment important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

The Day of Judgment is important for Christians because it represents the fulfillment of God’s promise of eternal life and the departure from sin (Romans 8:1).

For Christians, the Day of Judgment is not one of fear but rather a day of hope and fulfillment. It is the day when believers will be fully united with Christ, as the wedding feast with the Bridegroom is celebrated. On this day, the faithful will stand before God justified, not condemned (Romans 8:1). This day embodies the culmination of God’s redemptive plan, where His people will receive their eternal rewards, and all evil will ultimately be dealt with. It provides comfort and assurance that despite the trials faced in this life, believers will be glorified and live eternally in the presence of God.
