Why is the death of a believer considered a blessing?

Answered in 1 source

The death of a believer is a blessing because it brings them into eternal rest and the presence of Christ.

Revelation 14:13 states, 'Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.' The death of a believer is a transition point where they cease their labor and enter into rest. While those left behind may grieve, for the believer, death signifies the end of suffering, sin, and sorrow, and the beginning of eternal communion with God. It is a time of joy and celebration in heaven as they receive their reward for faithfulness.
