Why is the death of a believer considered precious?
Answered in 1 source
The death of a believer is precious because it signifies their ultimate victory over sin and death through Christ's sacrifice.
According to Psalm 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints," the death of a believer is revered due to the assurance of their eternal life with Christ. Since Christ has borne the punishment for sin on behalf of His people, the death of a saint is not a moment of despair but a transition to glory. Unlike that of the unbeliever, the death of a believer is free from the condemnation that sin brings, as Christ has already paid the price. Thus, there is cause for joy and celebration because they are received into the presence of the Lord, where pain and sorrow are no more.
