Why is the divine revelation of Christ significant for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Divine revelation is essential for recognizing Christ as Savior and is the dividing line between believers and unbelievers.

The significance of divine revelation in recognizing Christ cannot be overstated. It is only through God’s sovereign initiative that an individual can see and acknowledge Jesus as the true Savior. This revelation distinguishes believers from unbelievers, as the natural man, guided by his own understanding, cannot comprehend the spiritual truths of God. As Jesus stated, 'Flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.' Without this divine insight, one remains lost and blind to the need for a Savior. Moreover, this understanding leads to true faith, which is foundational for receiving Christ's redemptive work.
