Why is the doctrine of Christ's death important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The doctrine of Christ's death is vital as it underpins the entire Christian faith and assures salvation.

The doctrine of Christ's sin-atoning death stands at the heart of Christian belief. It illustrates God's profound love and the lengths to which He went to redeem His people. As pointed out in the sermon, to deny this doctrine is to undermine the essence of the Gospel. If one mixes works with grace or diminishes the significance of Christ’s sacrifice, they obscure the nature of salvation. Therefore, it is imperative for Christians to uphold this doctrine fully, for it is the bedrock upon which the assurance of salvation is built (1 Corinthians 15:14-17).
