Why is the doctrine of Christ's nature important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding Christ's dual nature as fully God and fully man is essential for grasping His role in our salvation.

The doctrine of Christ’s nature is fundamental in Reformed theology because it establishes Him as both the perfect intermediary between God and man and the only one capable of fulfilling the law's demands. As the express image of God's person, Christ reveals the full character of God. Hebrews asserts that no man knows the Father except through the Son (John 14:6), which underscores the necessity of understanding Christ's deity and humanity in relation to our salvation. This dual nature ensures that He can fully relate to our human experience while also perfectly embodying the righteousness of God.
