Why is the finished work of Christ significant for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The finished work of Christ signifies that He has completed the atonement for our sins, offering us assurance of salvation and a finished salvation.

The significance of Christ's finished work cannot be overstated. Hebrews 10:12 highlights that Jesus, after offering one sacrifice for sins, sat down at the right hand of God, symbolizing the completion of His redemptive work. Unlike previous high priests who had to continually offer sacrifices, Christ's one-time sacrifice was sufficient for all of eternity. This assures Christians of their salvation and invites them to approach God's throne of grace with confidence, knowing that their sins are fully atoned for and that they are secure in His love and grace.
