Why is the judgment of Christ important?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's judgment is essential as it establishes justice and shows mercy to the elect through His sacrifice.

Jesus claimed that He came to execute judgment, not to condemn the world, as stated in John 3:17. Instead, He came to establish justice required for our salvation. The justice of God requires that sin be adequately addressed, which Christ did through His sacrificial death. Because He executed judgment upon Himself, He satisfied God's demands and allows for mercy to be shown to those He has chosen. This truth is vital as it illustrates the depth of God's love and justice intertwined in the plan of salvation.
