Why is the life of Jesus important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The life of Jesus is important because He perfectly obeyed the law and is our representative before God.

Jesus' life is crucial for Christians as it represents the fulfillment of the law and the embodiment of righteousness. He is described as the blessed man in Psalm 1, who did not walk in the counsel of the ungodly or disobey God's commands. His life of perfect obedience contrasts with Adam's disobedience, serving as our representative. In Romans 8:1-2, we see that those who are in Christ are free from condemnation because of His obedience, which is counted as righteousness for us. This means that by placing our faith in Him, we are united with Christ and justified before God.
