Why is the Lord's Supper not considered a sacrifice?

Answered in 1 source

The Lord's Supper is a memorial, not a sacrifice, as Christ's single offering on the cross was sufficient for salvation.

The Lord's Supper is not a sacrifice but a memorial to remember the sacrifice of Christ made once for all (Hebrews 10:10). It does not represent a new or repeated sacrifice but serves to commemorate the one sufficient sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross. Throughout Scripture, we see that this ordinance is meant to remind believers of Christ's body broken and His blood shed for sin. Therefore, it is crucial to understand that each observance of the Lord's Supper reinforces the truth that Christ's work was finalized at the cross, and there is no need for a perpetual repetition, which is why the Roman Catholic Mass is at odds with biblical teaching.
