Why is the love of God in Christ important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

The love of God in Christ is essential for Christians as it secures our relationship with God and assures us of our salvation.

In John 3:35, we learn, "The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand." The love of God is manifested in Christ, and it is through Christ that believers receive the love of the Father. This love brings us into the kingdom of God, making us accepted in the Beloved. Understanding the significance of God's love helps Christians realize the depth and breadth of His grace, offering peace and assurance in their faith. It is through this love that we are motivated to live for God’s glory and partake in His grace.
