Why is the mercy of Christ important for Christians?

The mercy of Christ is foundational to the Christian faith, as it is through His mercy that we are saved. Just as Bartimaeus cried out for mercy, all believers acknowledge their need for divine grace to overcome our sinful condition. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to approach the throne of grace with confidence, so we may receive mercy and find grace in our times of need.
