Why is the preaching of the gospel vital in the Christian life?

The preaching of the gospel is central to Christian life and worship. It is through the foolishness of preaching that God has chosen to save those who believe (1 Corinthians 1:21). The gospel reveals the righteousness of God in Christ, highlighting the necessity of faith for salvation. Paul’s assertion that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal reiterates that spiritual transformation comes through the word of God, which is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
