Why is the resurrection body important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

The resurrection body is important because it represents the believer's ultimate transformation and eternal existence in a sinless state (1 Corinthians 15:52).

The resurrection body signifies a vital aspect of Christian hope. It is the promise of a glorified existence free from the burdens of sin, decay, and deterioration that characterize our current earthly bodies. As Paul explains, when we lay down our earthly tents, we are assured of a building from God, a heavenly body that is eternal and not subject to aging or sin (2 Corinthians 5:1-4). This concept of a resurrection body assures believers that death is not the end but rather a transition into a new life that is perfected and immortal, allowing for unceasing communion with Christ in holiness and joy.
