Why is the resurrection of Christ a source of hope for believers?

Answered in 1 source

The resurrection of Christ is our hope because it assures us of our own future resurrection and eternal life.

Believers find hope in the resurrection of Christ as it is the cornerstone of the gospel message. As stated in 1 Corinthians 15:20, 'But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.' This means that just as Christ was raised, so too will all who are in Him be raised to eternal life. Our hope is anchored in the promise that death has been defeated through Christ's victory, which assures us that we, too, will share in His resurrection and live eternally with Him. The resurrection signifies not only hope for the future but also a transformative power that is present in our lives today.
