Why is the revelation of Christ essential for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The revelation of Christ is essential as it enables believers to see their need for Him and to have faith in His redemptive work.

The revelation of Christ is fundamental to the sovereign grace theology, as it is through this revelation that individuals recognize their sinfulness and inability to save themselves. The preacher highlights that without the Lord opening our eyes to see Christ, we cannot comprehend the depth of our need for a Savior. The Gospel reveals that Christ, the incarnate Word, is the key to understanding God’s character and grace. When God reveals Christ to us, we come to believe in His atoning work and the hope of eternal life, as depicted in John 6:38-40, where Jesus states that everyone who sees the Son and believes will have eternal life.
