Why is the sovereignty of Christ important for believers?

Christ's sovereignty means that He rules over every aspect of creation, bearing the full weight of governance upon His shoulders (Isaiah 9:6). This is profoundly comforting, as believers understand that they are not left to random chance but are under the care and command of their Sovereign King. His divine authority ensures that every event in their lives, whether joyous or painful, is orchestrated for their good and ultimately contributes to their salvation. The Lord Jesus having this sovereignty allows believers to rest securely in His grace, knowing that nothing can separate them from God's love and that their salvation is secure in Him (Romans 8:38-39).
