Why is the tearing of the veil important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

The tearing of the veil signifies that all believers now have direct access to God through Jesus Christ.

The tearing of the veil holds immense importance for Christians as it symbolizes the end of the old covenant system and the beginning of a new covenant in Christ. Before Jesus, access to God was limited; only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies once a year, and even then, under strict rituals and sacrifices. However, when the veil was torn at Jesus' death, this accessibility was radically transformed. Believers are now invited to approach God 'with boldness' (Hebrews 10:19), knowing that Jesus, as both the sacrifice and the great high priest, has cleared the way for us. This means that all who trust in Him can enter into a personal relationship with God, without fear of condemnation or separation due to sin. The tearing of the veil is thus a profound expression of grace and an invitation to communion with the Almighty.
