Why is the wisdom of God different from worldly wisdom?

Answered in 1 source

God’s wisdom reveals the foolishness of worldly understanding, showing that humans cannot know Him through their own wisdom or knowledge.

In Romans 1:22, it states that professing themselves to be wise, people become fools. God’s wisdom transcends human understanding, which often leads people away from Him. While the world seeks knowledge and signs, true understanding comes only through revelation from God. The wisdom of God is displayed in the gospel, which is perceived as foolishness by those who do not believe but is, in fact, the means by which God reveals His glory and power. The truth of the matter is that worldly wisdom cannot comprehend the divine purpose of God, which is fulfilled in Christ.
