Why is trusting God during sickness important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting God during times of sickness helps strengthen faith and draws believers closer to Him.

During sickness, believers are called to trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness. This trust reflects the faith of Mary and Martha, who, despite their brother’s illness, remained composed and submitted to God’s will. Their approach in seeking help was not demanding but rather an acknowledgment of the Lord’s love and the purpose behind Lazarus's sickness. Ultimately, trusting God in our infirmities reveals our dependence on Him and enables us to experience His grace and mercy in a deeper way, fulfilling the purpose for which trials are allowed.
