Why is trusting in Christ essential for eternal life?

Entrusting oneself to Christ is paramount because He embodies the righteousness that God requires from His people. Romans 3:19-20 states that no one can be justified by the law since all are guilty. However, Romans 10:4 assures that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. This means that through faith in Christ, believers receive His imputed righteousness, which allows them to enter into a right relationship with God and ultimately eternal life.
