Why is trusting in God better than trusting in man?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that trust in God provides a firm foundation, unlike the fleeting and unreliable nature of human beings.

Trusting in God is superior to trusting in man because Scripture highlights the frailty and unfaithfulness of human beings. As pronounced in Psalm 118:8-9, it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man, emphasizing that all have sinned and cannot be relied upon for lasting help or hope. Proverbs 25:19 illustrates this point by likening confidence in an unfaithful man during times of trouble to a broken tooth or a foot out of joint. Instead, placing our faith in God ensures we are anchored in His promises and sovereignty, giving us peace and hope that surpasses all understanding, even in turbulent times.
