Why is trusting in God better than trusting in men?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in God is better than trusting in men because God's faithfulness never fails, while people will disappoint.

Psalm 118:8-9 teaches us that 'It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.' This truth is grounded in the fact that God is unchanging and utterly trustworthy. People, even those in positions of power, can falter and fail us. In contrast, when we trust the Lord for guidance and salvation, we are guaranteed that He will deliver. Jesus Himself emphasizes the futility of relying on human strength, as one word from Him can overcome any obstacle. Thus, true trust anchors our hope in a faithful Savior who never disappoints.
