Why is understanding Christ's holiness important for Christians?

Recognizing the holiness of Christ is foundational for Christians as it emphasizes the stark contrast between God's perfection and our sinful nature. In Christ alone do we find the means of true cleansing and sanctification. There is a clear distinction made in Scripture where it states that none can bring a clean thing out of an unclean (Job 14:4). This reveals our total dependency on Christ as the Holy One who alone can make us holy.
