Why is understanding Jesus' human nature important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Understanding Jesus' human nature is vital as it assures believers of His ability to empathize with our struggles and weaknesses.

The acknowledgment of Jesus’ genuine human nature is crucial for Christians as it affirms that He fully identifies with our human experiences. In John 4:6, we see Jesus wearied from His journey, indicating His real human feelings and needs. This truth brings comfort to believers because it assures us that our Savior is capable of understanding our suffering and frailty. As He experienced hunger, thirst, and fatigue, we have a High Priest who is sympathetic to our conditions (Hebrews 4:15). Therefore, when we approach Him in prayer, we do so with the knowledge that He truly comprehends our hardships and intercedes for us with both compassion and power.
