Why is understanding our weakness important in relation to God's power?

Answered in 1 source

Recognizing our weakness allows us to appreciate God's strength and dependence on His grace for deliverance.

Understanding our human weakness reveals the depth of our need for God’s intervention. In Exodus 6, the Israelites felt helpless under Pharaoh's oppression, which highlighted their inability to save themselves. This recognition prepares the ground for faith in God’s power. God often brings His people to the end of their own resources so they can see His mighty hand at work. As Psalm 107 illustrates, it is often in affliction that we learn to call on God, realize His goodness, and be drawn into worship. Our weakness, therefore, is not a hindrance but a pathway to experiencing God's strength and salvation.
