Why is using our spiritual gifts important for Christians?

Christians are called to actively use their spiritual gifts for the edification of the church, as highlighted in Ephesians 4:7-8. Each believer's unique abilities are important in the overall functioning of the body of Christ, where every gift contributes to the collective mission and health of the church. When believers invest their gifts in service to God and others, they fulfill their purpose and walk in obedience to God's will. Moreover, it fosters a sense of community, strengthens relationships, and ultimately brings glory to God as His grace is manifested through His children.
