Why is wandering from God considered unnatural?

Answered in 1 source

Wandering from God is unnatural because humans were created for fellowship with Him, just as a bird was made to tend to its nest.

Proverbs 27:8 compares a man wandering from his place to a bird leaving its nest, emphasizing that both actions are failures of divine instinct and purpose. Just as it is unnatural for a bird to forsake its young, it is likewise unnatural for man to stray from the intimate relationship God intended for him. The human heart, by nature, desires to flee from God due to sin, which is contrary to the purpose for which man was created. By persevering in sin, man disrupts the order established by God, further highlighting the unnatural state of separation from God.
