Why must Christians be involved in the body of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Christians must be involved in the church to experience the fullness of God's grace and encouragement through community.

The sermon emphasizes that God has saved a people, not isolated individuals, which means our faith is expressed fully in the context of the church. Paul urges believers not to forsake the assembly, as the church functions together as a cohesive body. Each member contributes to the whole, supporting one another in both joy and suffering. This involvement is essential for personal spiritual growth as well as for the maturity of the entire congregation, as we collectively bear witness to Christ’s love and grace. Without participation in the body, we risk living in rebellion to God’s design for community and healing.
