Why must God judge and destroy the wicked?

Answered in 1 source

God's judgment arises from His holiness and justice; wickedness cannot exist in His presence.

God's judgment against the wicked is rooted in His nature as a holy and righteous being. In Psalm 5:6, David declares that 'You shall destroy them that speak lies,' which underscores the necessity of God's justice. All sin warrants judgment, as it is a rebellion against God's law. The destruction of the wicked is not arbitrary; it is a just response to their continuous rejection of God and His ways. God has made no provision for evil to dwell with Him; thus, unless one is redeemed through Christ, they face the consequences of their sin. This reinforces the urgent need for salvation and repentance in the light of God's righteousness.
