Why should Christians avoid arrogance?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should avoid arrogance because it separates them from God and leads to sin.

Arrogance is fundamentally opposed to the teachings of Scripture, which advocate for humility and a heart aligned with God. As described in Psalm 10, the wicked man’s arrogance not only leads him to persecute the poor but also to despise God, believing himself beyond accountability. For Christians, embracing humility is necessary for maintaining a right relationship with God. Recognizing that we are sinners saved by grace should prevent arrogance in our hearts. The more we see our need for God, the less we can elevate ourselves above others, leading to genuine love and compassion for those around us.
