Why should Christians be bold in their witness?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should be bold because God empowers them through the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Gospel.

The early Church faced persecution as recorded in Acts 4, yet they prayed for boldness to speak God's word despite threats. Boldness in witnessing stems from the recognition that the God who reigns over all desires to use His people for His purposes. The promise of the Holy Spirit's empowerment is central to this boldness, as it assures believers that their efforts in sharing the Gospel are supported by God’s divine authority. Therefore, Christians can confidently proclaim the truth of God, knowing it is He who empowers their proclamation.
