Why should Christians be comforted in trials?

Answered in 1 source

Christians can find comfort in knowing that Jesus, as Lord, is in control and that trials serve a divine purpose.

The trials that believers experience are part of Christ’s sovereign plan. Romans 8:28 reassures us that all things work together for good to those who love God. This means that even afflictions serve a purpose in conforming us to His image and deepening our faith. Understanding that Jesus is Lord over all afflictions, as described in Isaiah 45:7, gives believers a foundation of hope during hardships. They can rest in the knowledge that their suffering is not random but ordained for their growth and His glory.
