Why should Christians care about the condition of the church?

Answered in 1 source

The condition of the church reflects the collective spiritual health of God's people.

Christians should deeply care about the condition of the church as it embodies the body of Christ on earth. In Isaiah 1:7, the desolation refers to the consequences of sin and the need for revival. Just as God chastised Israel, He aims to purify and restore His church today. Understanding the spiritual health of the church helps believers recognize the importance of doctrine, accountability, and communal worship. It also encourages the body of Christ to persevere in faith, seeking revival and spiritual renewal collectively rather than indifferently. Ultimately, a healthy church contributes to the advancement of God’s Kingdom and reflects His glory.
