Why should Christians care about wealth and its spiritual implications?

Answered in 1 source

Wealth can lead to temptations and distractions that detract from spiritual wellbeing.

Christians should be mindful of wealth because it often brings with it temptations and a false sense of security. As stated in 1 Timothy 6:9-10, those who desire to be rich fall into various snares and harmful desires, leading them away from faith. The Bible emphasizes that wealth is not inherently evil, but the love of it can lead to ruin. Therefore, Christians are called to seek riches that are eternal – to be rich towards God – rather than accumulating earthly treasures that ultimately fade away.
