Why should Christians delight in the Lord?

Answered in 2 sources

Delighting in the Lord aligns our hearts with His will, leading to spiritual fulfillment and the fulfillment of our desires (Psalm 37:4).

Delighting in the Lord is an essential aspect of the Christian life, indicating a deep-rooted joy and satisfaction in knowing Him and His will. Psalm 37:4 states that when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. This does not mean that God will fulfill all our wants but rather align our desires with His, leading us to seek what truly satisfies our souls. A heart that delights in God rests in His presence, finds joy in His word, and is transformed by His grace. This divine delight reassures us that our deepest longings are met as we pursue a relationship with Him.
