Why should Christians not fear according to Psalm 23?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should not fear because the Lord, as their shepherd, is always with them.

Psalm 23 reassures believers that they need not fear even in the darkest valleys, stating, 'I will fear no evil, for you are with me' (Psalm 23:4). This promise is rooted in the understanding that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is ever present and actively watches over His flock. His guidance, represented by the rod and staff, offers comfort and protection amid life's struggles. Knowing that the Lord is our shepherd instills confidence in His sovereignty and assures us that He is faithful to sustain and lead us through every circumstance, reinforcing the absence of fear in our hearts.
